All spirit beads are strung on a nylon cord that has a little "give" to it without breaking. I use nylon cord because of it's durability and it can withstand any weather. Instead of sliding it over the head and neck it clips together. to keep it from sliding over the neck when the horse put's it's head down I attach a strong alligator clip that you clip to the mane. We always' use our's while riding and have never had one break or cause a problem (you can see Emily using her's on twilight in the picture's of our headwater's ride)

Unlike ribbons you do not tie them in and they don't slide off use them again and again. Get them in green for green horse (or rider) or yellow for stallion's.
